Do not hesitate to contact us so we can discuss further and explore how it may work for your pet, you and your family.
What happens when a dog or a cat is euthanized?
During the procedure, an injection of a specific drug will be given to your pet. It is mostly an overdose which will stop their heart, lungs and others organs from functioning. This process takes only a few minutes and will give your pet a peaceful ending.
Will my pet feel pain during euthanasia?
None. They won’t feel any pain, from the beginning to the end of the process. Our team will ensure that your pet is comfortable throughout the procedure.
Can I be with my pet during the euthanasia?
Yes, of course. Your presence can help calm your pet and make him feel comfortable. We do understand that your family and you will want to be with your pet until his last breath. Our team will do everything to accommodate you during this time, to the best of our abilities.
What is pet euthanasia and how do I know when it is the right time?
Pet euthanasia is a pain-free, humane way to end a pet’s life. Determining whether or not euthanasia is the next step can be very tricky as it must be handled on a case by case situation. You know your pet best from their eating habits, their energy levels, their daily routine etc. Determining whether or not they continue to have a good quality of life will give you a good idea as to whether or not they are suffering.
This is not a decision that needs to be made alone. The Animal 911 team is here to help with whatever you may need. Please call to make an appointment in order to better assess your fur baby’s quality of life.
