What types of surgical services do you provide?
We provide a wide range of surgical services, ranging from soft tissue to orthopedic to dental. Once your pet’s physical exam has been performed, and the medical file reviewed, we will make the appropriate recommendations if surgery is required.
Do pets feel pain during surgery?
No, our team we typically use general anaesthesia so your pet won’t feel any pain or discomfort during the procedure. Our surgeons have the most up-to-date equipment and techniques to guarantee the expected results and a quick recovery for your furry family member.
Why would pets need surgery?
There are actually many different reasons. For example, sterilization (spay and neuters) and microchipping are routine procedures that most pets will have during their life. The most common reason that a pet will require surgery is mostly due to an accident or any injuries. Fractured or broken bones will require orthopedic surgeries.
All of our surgeries are performed using our 9-Point Patient Safety and Comfort Plan which includes:
- A thorough exam
- Pre-anesthetic blood tests when deemed appropriate
- Multimodal pain control (using a variety of 5-6 drugs delivered before the surgery starts to days after it has ended to make sure patient is not in pain)
- Intravenous administration of fluids during and after surgery until complete recovery
- A dedicated trained nurse to monitor every patient during surgery and until the patient has fully recovered
- Isoflurane gas anesthesia is the safest on the market and a complete line of monitoring equipment is used during surgery to help monitor patient parameters like heart rate, oxygen saturation, body temperature and blood pressure.

- No charge rechecks if owner decides that he would like us to make sure about how the healing process is going and a suture removal.
