Ultrasound and X-ray Services

Contact our team to schedule your pet's next diagnostic check-up.

Diagnostic imaging through X-ray and ultrasound help us gather information about your pet’s health without the need for an invasive surgery. To accurately diagnose and treat a pet, we often need the help of diagnostic testing. Imaging is an important aspect, and Animal 911 has digital radiology, which gives us quick and high-quality x-rays. We also have an ultrasound machine available to us, which is another great imaging tool.

Do pets need to be sedated during an X-ray?

Usually, sedation is not required for X-rays, but can be used if necessary. Some pets have trouble remaining calm ands still long enough for the radiograph to be taken. If sedation is used, our team uses safe and reversible sedatives that are combined with pain medication to make them more comfortable.

How do you use X-ray and radiology services?

Imaging can be a necessary test depending on the ailment of your pet. Depending on what the veterinarian is suspecting or looking for, they may recommend x-rays, ultrasound or both. X-rays can evaluate almost any part of the body, whereas ultrasounds are used for detailed soft tissue evaluations such as in the abdomen or the heart.

How much does an X-ray exam cost?

The cost is specific every pet and situation as the number of x-rays or exams may vary between each one of them. For more information, feel free to give us a call.
